Another unique preserved and well maintained treasure of artifacts and portraits of local pioneers who made Fillmore actually exist. Nice displays and the staff ate very friendly and helpful. Cool stuff to look at. Really captures that feel of the times.
Great history lessons inside. Good place to take young family for tour. $2/person, $8/family, reduced rate for seniors, very young kids. Each bsmt room has different focus like mining, stonework, etc by pioneers.
Good spot to learn bout the various Ute and Yuta folks.
The structure was never completed and the museum is now 20-25% of what was actually intended.
I've been meaning to stop by for a while now. There's plenty to see for free outside, but if you want to go in the museum it's $2 per adult, $1 for youth, which seems worth it. It definitely promotes a Mormon perspective on historical events without really addressing any other viewpoint. But the artifacts are interesting enough.
Beautiful brick compound.
Interesting collection of Mormon memorabilia. Especially enjoyed the basement with all the old photos and the different little rooms set up on each side.
